Athena Media is registered supplier to BBC Radio 4 and provides full scale radio production and consultancy services to both Irish and international clients. Its consultancy clients include South African Broadcasting Company (SABC) and VRT Belgium public broadcaster, where it advised on the transition to digital media and digital radio.
Athena Media's Managing Director Helen Shaw is a former MD of RTE Radio and launched Lyric fm in 1999. She was a consultant on the Ox Report which reviewed Irish radio licensing and she is a member of a pan-European research team DRACE which has conducted research on the future of digital radio in Europe since 2004.
Athena Media, as part of its public awareness and advocacy work, creates and produces national radio advertisement campaigns for clients like ComReg and the Internet Advisory Board.
